It often seems that time flies like the pages of the calendar in an old movie. I can’t stop it or slow it down so I just hang on and enjoy the ride. Since May I have done my first two full blown art shows, my first trunk show and attended the Saori weaving conference in Atlanta.
When I went to weaving school, one brief mention of Saori weaving piqued my interest. Saori is a Japanese form of freestyle weaving – meditative and without intention. What flows off the loom when you turn down the chatter in your brain is remarkable. I am so excited to be adding a Saori loom to my studio. Look for lots of fun stuff to come. It doesn’t mean I will abandon what I am currently doing, I just have more outlets for all the things clamoring to get out of my brain.
I want to say thanks to all of those that have encouraged me and complimented my work and my booth design. It has been a lot of work and a lot of fun.
Back to the studio!
